I just went to my local CC store and they told me that they have discontinued selling the iopener. However, they said that they would be happy to sell me the display unit. When they went back to get it, they came back and told me it was just a dummy unit. That all it did was play a recorded demo and the hardware inside it wasn't complete. Does anyone know if this is true? There are apparently 3 stores in my area that have their display units listed as for sale and if they are wrong about them I'd like to get them.

The display unit is very moddable, I have one of them out of 6 I-openers. Had 7 but sold one at work for $200.00. If is the V-1 all the better. When the sales dude was referring to the dummy unit he was referring to himself (freudian slip it was).
Look it over for scratched/damaged lcd display and keyboard connector still intact. Some of these display units had rough handling by customers.

I asked to have a look at it but they kept changing the subject. Since they had stopped selling them they had pulled the display and put it in the back warehouse. I think they didn't want me to look at it cus it wasn't listed in their inventory as sellable. I'll have to go to the other 2 stores that have them listed as open-box and see if they're as dumb as I'm hoping they are.
