Looking to buy an I-opener on e-bay, the manufacturing date on the box is 6-24-00. I am guessin it's a v4? Can anyone confirm this?

I have a 6-16 that is a V4. It seems to be the case that those made in July are V5s, and most people who have those made in june are V4s. Good luck, but since that is right on the border be careful.

my V4s all start with that same string so I think youre safe. You could just open it and make sure tho, or are you trying to find out so you can ebay it?

The serial number on mine starts with 1A170240XXXX. Inside the back cover, it says Rev. 3B, Date: 2000.06.26

I also look at the mobo of my IO and found a SW4 switch laying in between the CPU and the memory. Does a V4 have SW4 switch?

V4IO: Yes, V4s do have the core adjust switch in addition to the one next to the memory (did anyone ever find out what that ones does?)

pyr: So, theoretically the V4 can accomodate with the K6-III CPU since it has the SW4 to change the core voltage.

Has anyone had found any new hardware differences between the V4 and V5 aside from what we have known?
