is anyone using their IOP to view DVD's? Is there any problem with (1) USB transfer rate adn (2) flatscreen decay rate. Sorry if this has been discussed before -- i looked but didn't see a reference.

I have been playing normal mpeg movies on the iop, using both realplayer and mediaplayer. The ghosting is only serious during fast motion. Movies are definitely watchable. Fast action just gives the Bionic Man effect.

I don't know of a way to play DVDs over a network. I am playing mpeg1 movies, like VCDs, from normal CDs. I am just using Microsofts Media Player. They are not as high quality as DVD, but they are much easier to use, since they can be played from almost any computer with a cdrom drive.
