Where is the new sound chip located?
What is the name of chip?

Has anyone tried an aux line out on the new V5's?

Thanks

The sound chip is just above the Keyboard connector and is an Analog Devices AD1881A. There is a "Line-Level Output" on pins 39/41 (L/R) which does not change with master volume settings. The datasheet PDF is available on their web page.

Has anyone run a line out with 39/41

http://www.analog.com/pdf/AD1881A_0.pdf (is the url to the specs if anyone cares)

I would like to see.

Thanks Turbo3.. Last question, did anyone have a problem with the master bus controler in Win98, everything works in WinMe with no conflicts howerver, the lack of DOS in WinMe SUCKS.

I am also wondering if anyone has tried and found a good line-out solution for the v5s. Would a direct connection from the headphone jack to the line-out pins on the v5 sound chip work well?
