(modified 0 times) Turbo3 Profile I thought the same thing but checking the Compaq web pages shows this one was used in the 4200 series introduced in Jan 1998. Specifically the 4220T model. It is not a 3.5" drive. Actually I don't recall any notebook in the last ten years that used a 3.5" drive in the GB range. My guess is the price should have been $125.00 and it was entered into their computers incorrectly. The fact that it has the SMART feature also shows it is a new (last 3-4 years) drive. 09-24-2000 19:32:24

However my assumption is if a site has been compromised so badly that it distributes 50,000 viruses to those who feed it, perhaps I'll wait a year or so and wait for it to be reviewed in bizrate.com or resellerratings.com. Sigh... for those of you who actually get one of these wonders at the price, congrats, for those who don't my sympathy, for those who aquire spam and a virus, well it appears this site is also a renown spammer (though the spam complaints appear a bit older, the newer complaints are about getting email html (virus you don't have to open an attachment to (note this is KAK, an html only virus, one which only requires you to look at it, not open an attachment to aquire)) for those who get a virus (after reading this) well at least you were warned 09-24-2000 21:04:14

If you use Microsoft's Outlook Express you should have downloaded patches to stop this type of attack. "Impact: It's very important not to confuse between the two Viruses. Although the 'Kak' Virus can attack without opening any attachment, it does not do any damage. There is no known Virus that can do damage just by previewing or reading an e-mail. The Resume Virus, however, is dangerous - and activated via a Word Macro (an attack which is well-known since Melissa)." Anytime you use your credit card you open yourself to having someone in that organization getting hold of your number and trying to use it for additional charges. This is true on the web or a store in a mall or a phone order. You always need to check your statements for strange charges and have your credit card company reverse any false charges.
