I recently got my i-opener and a hd converter with it to hook the laptop hd up to my desktop. The converter doesnt seem to work (it has a led that doesnt come on) So I was wondering if there is another way to get an os (preferable linux) onto it without doing the nasty sounding sandisk stuff. Any other ideas are appreciated as well. thanks.

Many of those cheap converters come with poor solder connections on the power supply cable. Try to re-solder the two connections.....Badflash sells those things for about $5.

Actually, now that i look closer, I can see one of the little lines looks like it was broken or something. it's a little black round it too =\. I have another one coming from www.hitechcafe.com. atleast, i think its the correct one.
