The CD-Bootable BIOS will work on all models. The version that's public is still in Alpha-Test phase because the pop-up menus aren't getting populated - they're just blank boxes for now. I'll get around to fixing this soon, now that I know what needs to be done.
It's the beginning of a series of improved firmware for the IOpener. The way I've got it set up now, it always goes into the Smart Boot-Manager. I'll rework it so that it'll go into Smart Boot-Manager only you hold down a hot-key sequence.. and when I figure out more about the BIOS's internals, as well as having a "CDROM,C,A" option in the BIOS's actual Boot-Sequence.
And when I find more time, I'll be hunting down the part that enters the Setup Screen via Ctl-Alt-Esc, and changing that to use the [DEL] key as advertised. Not a high-priority item for me yet, though...
If anyone's looked at what I've done so far, you'll notice that I set this BIOS up to go straight into Interrupt 18 (Diskless Boot), and created an ISA ROM file that hooks Int-18 to get this all going. I chose to do it this way so others can create newer, better "diskless boot" ROMs that can be added into the BIOS image via cbrom.exe...
Personally, I'd like to have a ROM that boots off a network via USB.
