i tried changing the bios screen and after it told me to reboot i only get a black screen. I can't change any settings, boot to hard drive... etc... but when i put a new bios chip in it works fine...any ideas or do i have to get a new bios chip?

Chip is reprogrammable. You can hot flash (risky but do-able), use the QNX trick, or send it in to me.
