Are there individuals for hire who will hack iOpeners? I want to use my iOpener, ship date 4/25/2000, (bought for and rejected by my 83 year-old mother) to replace my five-year old laptop, but don’t have the technical expertise to do it myself. Having watched the posts for “best buys”, I could assemble all the parts, handle the shipping, etc. Does it make sense to pin my hopes on a hacked iOpener as my only laptop and is there someone who does this commercially? Note: I use my laptop every day. I like the size of the iOpener (kitchen table!) and bank online, use AOL , WinFaxPro, Windows 98, MSOffice and that’s about it. Would be thrilled to get suggestions/ideas especially your thoughts as to what appropriate labor costs might be. Thanks.
