Thanks for the heads-up on this unit! It's a great little hub, and the price can't be beat!
Cruised into Circuit City this morning, fully expecting them to be sold out. At first look I thought I was out of luck, but after carefully scanning the shelf I noticed one unit sitting by itself- the last one. Snatched it up and compared the number to the one that Spincycle quoted: the same. I noted that there was no signs or anything to let you know this rebate was going on.
Took it to the salesman and got checked out. "Hey, your getting a rebate on this" he said. "A pretty good one, eh?" I replied. After reading the rebate that was printing out with the slip he chuckled and agreed saying a buck in tax was a pretty good deal.
It's a great little hub, it's actually smaller than my Linksys USB100TX ethernet doohickey, and the option to run with or without power is really sweet.
