Hey!!

Well I am brand new to this board, and I really need an I-opener for a car project.. It needs to be a 200mhz or better with the wireless KB and stuff.. also the unit needs to be hacked (I will supply my own Hard Drive) I just need the unit and all accessories.

I have a compaq LTE 5100, basically it is a Pentium 120 laptop with 16 MB of ram, and I will include 2 (800 MB Hard Drives) .... Also this includes the Docking Station. I got this off a lease from a local company and it is working. But it is missing the battery, CD-ROM, and floppy.. All can be found off yahoo auctions... I even have extra memmory for this machine that i will throw in...

Let me know if you want to trade straight up...

Thanks,

You might try putting your Compaq on eBay, you "should" get anywhere from $50 to $150 esp with memory, docking station and the hard drives.

HSN (Home Shopping Network) was selling the i-Opener's for $149, currently they are out, you might get on on eBay but the price seems to be going up, last night one sold for over $220 and it included: (dis-assembled) the Iopener, 1 gb hard drive, a faster 300mhz k6 processor and a 128 sodimm chip with the orginal 32 mb chip. All of which sounded good, I tried to buy it but I gave up at $210 since it wasn't noted that it was a working machine.

You can always go into Circuit City and pay $199 and get one (I have heard something about mail in rebate of sorts too. Keep a eye out for the Virgin's Webplayer it's a similar machine, more memory but I have heard the LCD display is not as good as the Iopener.
