New MessageMOD-3 Kit (modified 0 times) V4IO

Hi,

A friend just got his IOpener v.4. and has asked me to post the following question. Does anyone know where he can order and purchase a Mod-3 Kit as well as the back cover for his IOpener so that he can install a CDROM and a regular hard drive?

TIA.

USE THE SEARCH. Search for "i-opener case review" check off "Match All Words" and "I-Opener Technical Stuff".

For the I-MOD 3 just click on the "Linux-Hacker.net" on the top of this page.

Now was that hard?

TheKid: Thank you for the pointer. But, I still could not find the I-Mod-3 kit. The link only show the I-Mod-1/2 kits.

Does anyone know where you can get another type of mod kit for the i-opener? codeman has posted a note stating the I-MODs are out-of-stock, and there is no indication of when there will be stock again.

Please help!

I did not see them on Badflash's site. He only lists being out of Mod-2 kits. I think you will have to wait for codeman to update his site. I have one of the prototype Mod-3s and it is very nice. I am still waiting for my batch of the final version from codeman. The only thing I see on codeman's site are pictures of the new Mod-3 kit.

I sent Codeman a PayPal payment for IMOD-3s over a week ago and haven't heard
a thing from him (despite his note that he'd be shipping starting
around the 16th or so). Has anyone heard *anything* from him?

Very nice design, but where are you getting the 5v for the fan for? The VGA out, or the 44-pin IDE cable?

Codeman: I just went to check on the http://www.linuc-hacker.net/mod3. It looks pretty nice. GOOD works! BTW, where and how can my friend order the I-MOD-3 kit? Is there a telephone number or e-mail I can give it to him to contact you?

Codeman:

The board looks great! I have seen a lot of frustration expressed by others waiting on delivery, but this looks like it was worth waiting for. The install pics and instructions you posted are just fine, anybody that can't follow them shouldn't be fiddling around inside a computer. Hope my order is on it's way, my system has been gutted open like a carp for a week just waiting for the current (but not last) piece of the puzzle. Again, good work....

BubbaDog56: If you know of the information on where and how to order the I-MOD-3 kit, please kindly post it so that I can forward the info to my friend. I may not be able to hack the IOpener, but my friend certain knows howto with the exception that he can't get to the Internet until his IOpener is working properly with a hard drive, unfortunately for him.

Codeman,

Great! We all appreciate the effort.

I'm worried that I may have been lost in the rush. Could you email me (steveplatt@home.com) and
just reassure me that I'm still there, you have received payment, everything is cool, etc.,
I'd appreciate it.

Thanks again,

Steve

yeah I see the install instructions, but what I don't see is directions for like ordering the thing. Like say for example, how much does it cost?

can we follow the instructions for imod1/imod2 but just put "imod3" in the paypal subject line?

I ordered a I-mod 2 kit a long time ago, and was e-mailed by codeman a bit later about the i-mod 3 kit. He let me change my order to a imod 3 kit and i was just wondering what the status on it is. Its been a very long time since ive heard anything.
