I just reinstalled WindowsMe on my Iopener and tried to get the cyberblade drivers off of windows update, but they are not available. Has anyone else had this problem?
I've tried the drivers floating around the bbs, but I have the "no power down display" problem.
Windows update for the Cyberblade only shows new drivers under Win98, not ME. The ME specific drivers can be located using www.updates.com. However, these newer drivers had problems of no display/black screen, in anything but Safe Mode (drivers not loaded). So went back to the "Trident Cyberblade i7 AGP (v6.50.5482-10)" dated 5-14-99 drivers. If anyone has newer drivers which work correctly in WinME, please post a link.
I had that problem with Win98SE - I fixed it by going to the Windows Update site and installed the Windows 98 Customer Service Pack along with the Critical Updates Package. This fixed the issues with powering down. I suspect it will do the same with WinME.
The driver is not available when I go to windows update. It was there the last time I installed WinMe, but now I can't seem to convince windowsupdate that I need the driver.------
