| If you are anywhere near a Circuit City, do call around and see if they have one in stock or on demo. After reading the CC note from mid December, I started calling around last week. I have purchased two (one last week for $99, one today for $50) by just making an offer. Both were V5 Iopeners, no-goo bios,Rise 266 chip, security torx screws. My plan is to hack one like crazy (external hard drive, cdrom, extra usb, K6-III+, 128mb sodimm, serial ports, sound out) , hack the other just enough to get windows on it and sell it to recoup some of my cost.
You can even go into the Circuit City store, pop the cover off the sodimm and pretty much determine what it is (except for ide pin header condition) before you buy! | |
