Can I Replace the screen with Active LCD?

Hi,

I am considering the possibility of replacing the IO LCD screen with an Active Matrix LCD. I have look into LCD from Toshiba and other companies. However, I was unable to confirm IO can support an Active Matrix LCD. Has this idea ever been attempted?

Any comment would be welcome.

The video chip in the IO can definitely support Active Matrix. The difficulty is in determining if signal wires may need to be reconfigured. This is made even more difficult by the fact that we have no information about the pinouts of the chipset
