hmm..... in default install kernel of mandrake 7.1 on v3 io reports only 14mb when the bios boot up says 32mb! and i compiled new 2.4.0 offical release and it still see 14m in both 2.4.0 and 2.2.16????
i rechecked the sodimm to be fine(win98 reports 32mb)
what's the heck with this sh** thing?

problem soloved!!! if you are using linux on iopener with flashed bios please turn off the "memory hole 15-16mb" to "disabled" ,now linux can see 128mb on my io :) but for win98 it is unaffected by this setting and reports correct mem size as usual
