How much is too much? Depends on you....For me to much is anything over $109.00 ea.{$99.00 +tax} That was the original price I paid ea. for 8 of them...some have been selling for a LOT less at circuit city recently...good luck finding them...
If I remember correctly V-2, V-3 had epoxied bios chip...(Man that epoxy should be good and hard by now....)

V-4 thru V-5 (Current) is best.
