i was wondering if any of you that have had win98 detect wave device for voice modem, have any problem since it first said it found the wave device, my problem is that when i would log onto the internet the modem would make the regular dialing noises and all was god until i had been on the internet for about a minute, then it would start making a loud high pitch tone and it would keep getting higher pitched until it stopped and then the modem would quit working, also after that win98 wouldnt detect a modem on the system unless i unplugged the power and totally restarted the system, i uninstalled all the drivers and stuff and removed the modem by software and hardware and when i put it all back together and used standard modom driver it seems to work ok again | |
