I'm still searching for THE solution to high quality sound output. I was looking at some home theatre stuff at the Crutchfield web site and wandered onto these:

Very interesting. I am in the process of producing a board that contains, amoung other things, the popular TL-082 Dual OpAmp hack. However, I think that the potential noise problems in audio circuitry within the box may limit it's success. Surely a USB-Audio solution would be superior. Perhaps a nice internal PCB that uses the second USB? How complex is the data conversion?
