The Heat Gun method of removal(and installation makes installing things like this No Problem!!!
1) Run a sliver of paper the width of U16 underneath it
2) move an embossing gun in slow circles over the chip while pulling up lightly on the paper
3) as soon as the chip comes up, remove it and turn off the gun
4) put the new chip in place and tape it down
5) move the embossing gun in slow circles over the chip until you see the solder go liquid
6) using a fine tip soldering iron touch each pin of the chip to ensure a good solder job
