yeah,
I ordered an Imod3 on Jan 17th. When do you think I will get it? I wanted to get mine as soon as possible to try it out, cause if I like it I will probably buy two more for me and my friend.

I never received any confirmation either, sent the followup email as was instructed. Jack at Badflash replied within a day and sent the product pretty quickly. I know codeman is a one man dynamo when it comes to actually building stuff, but c'mon! He says he had 100 manufactured and that they would be shipping this week, but is that enough to cover everyone? I can wait, but how long will the next 300 take to manufacture?

ANything else i'm forgetting?

Well it needs to be minimum 9.5mm height, other than that you may want to check the technical info thread to see what brands others have had trouble with. I got a 6 gig 9.5mm travelstar for $70 on ebay. I think the sound output issue still isnt resolved on a V5.

Anyone recieved their IMOD 3's? I think that many of us are hoping that ours was one of the 100 shiped last monday. Anyway if anyone recieves theirs could you drop a posting and let us know when your order date was. That way we can judge if we should be expecting ours.

I ordered two I-MOD kits last July, paying for same with a postal money order. I finally received one of the kits in early September.

Since that time, I have made several telephone calls, leaving a voicemail each time the phone was answered, and sent several emails asking the status of my second kit. I spoke to codeman's wife at least once, and she assured me the kit would be sent out shortly.

I believe I have been more than patient, but that is wearing thin. I would appreciate hearing from you codeman regarding this order before I have to refer this to the postal authorities, which I do not want to do. All I want is to receive my second kit.

Thanks for your prompt attention to this situation codeman.

I have to say that I am a pretty patient man but I can't say too much about his business practice. Though
he does have a good product you don't sell something unless you can provide what you are selling in a timely manner.
I would never leave my customers emailing and wondering "where or when is my sh*t?!".
I've purchased many items from home based sites and have had very little problems receiving
my merchandise on time. I too have tried to email him to find out when I could expect shipment then
coming here to see him post that we have them in stock now or posts from him selling more items
that he can't deliver in a reasonable amount of time. I'm glad I used PayPal since I just filed a
claim for a refund. I would suggest going with #######s and doing it yourself.

Talked to Codeman Sunday. He said he was shipping and catching up on his backlog. True to his word I got my wholesale order on Tuesday and will be shipping my back-orders starting today. I'm ordering more and have a few left. Folks that ordered from Codeman will get their parts. If you think he lost your order, just call him in the Evenings. He'll fix it.

Anyone ordering one of these keep in mind these were designed for 9.5mm drives and anything thicker will require cutting the RF shield. Too much pressure on this area of the motherboard/drive will prevent the I-O from booting. Even so, this thing is really sexy with the LED drive indicator and the fan plug for 5V power. Installation is really fast. It also has a built in 40 pin connector. I haven't tried it, but it looks to me like you can use this as an adapter to format your drive as well as run an external CD or other IDE device with a suitable power supply.

If any of you are looking for another supplier other than Codeman or Badflash, I suggest checking out W I Z Z T R O N I C S.COM

They are selling a product called the All-In-One which looks to be a little higher quality than the IMOD3s, and otherwise identical. With shipping it comes out to around $48, but it is another alternative. They are advertising same-day shipping. I might pick up my second IMOD3/All-In-One from them if I like the one I waited 2 months for from Codeman.

Has anyone else ordered from WIZZ TRONICS ?
