I recently Purchased two I-openers along with 128mb of mem, 20gig hd, barcode reader (interfaces with key board). Ordered fans, and I mod3 kits. I am very new with this hacking stuff so I don't know which tangent to follow. What I would like to build is a machines with the fastest cpu avalable, gps, touch screen, barcode reader, wireless lan ( can be usb I have a epod also haven't started on that project yet), also would like to run win 2k. If any one has any recomedations it would be greatly appreciated. I also thought it would be a great thing if we could describe all current hacks and follow a complete mod from start to finish in one thread. Thanx the Governor

Well, welcome abord Gov!

First let me warn, or promise you that this is a hardware hack, you will pull the cover off a few times etc.

There are a handful of people on this BBS that are on the cutting edge...making things happen, then putting the info here for us to read.

So the answer is that all the info is here if it has been done before. There is a very good search function. Just search for the topic you are interested in and you will find the answers.

This thing has been kind of like an online DIY project, somebody does a modification then eventually everyone does it, then someone tries something new and so on.

I recommend you start with this series of posts (7 threads with about 75 messages each).

Once you have done that, start searching for other answers, then once you have done that, join in on some of the conversations that are ongoing.
