Burned out IMOD-3
Fried my IMOD-3

Okay, so I fried my HD while I was preparing it a desktop machine. For details go down to "IMOD woes, Dont do this!"
so I know the fan connector pins wont work, Hence the burned off positive trace, but how about the rest of the IMOD-3 itself? Is there any damage to it? It seems not. Then again, Maybe theres something I dont know about. Ive already proven my skills as a hacker, hehehe! (hey, Im an arteest not an electrical engineer) Any suggestions?

Everything should be straight through traces, so you could check every pin with an ohmeter to make sure all the other connection are alright. You should be able to bypass the torched power traces with some thin wire. I would guess that it is only the power traces that you would have fried and everything else should be fine. After smoke rolls though it is always a good idea to check the continuity of every trace.
