Ok, this is a very strange request, I realize. I'm looking for an UNHACKED, UNMODIFIED (preferably new in box) i-opener whose serial number begins with "IA19" (not "IA17").
These were the units sold by Home Shopping Network that are designed to work with AT&T.
Bottom line: I'm going to set this up for an elderly friend who wants to have an i-opener like his neighbor. The Home Shopping Network units work with the AT&T ISP which is local to him; strangely, there is no local Earthlink service in his area, so units whose serial numbers are "IA17" will not work for him.
If anyone has an unmodified, unhacked "IA19" i-opener, let me know. I'm also willing to trade it for a version 5 "IA17" unit, for that matter -- whatever deal works for you. If you've got one, please send me an email:

I have three V5's bought in December off HSN (That are hacked now) and the serial numbers all begin with IA17
According to the box, they work with AT&T, as it's a AT&T number to call to activate them. I forgot to call the number to set them up, Gos-DarnIt, I knew I forgot something!!
BUT all three are suppose to work with AT&T WorldNet, But a couple of years ago Netpliance was going to change the way we use the internet!!

I've received a few emails from helpful friends here who have pretty much convinced me that I had my wires crossed with respect to the "IA19" prefix. Evidently, they're all "IA17". Ack. Well, let me revise the request, lol. I am interested in buying an unused unit sold by Home Shopping Network advertised to work with AT&T. I'm willing to trade your AT&T unit for an equivalent Netpliance/Earthlink version 5 unit (i.e., not sold though Home Shopping), if you would rather do that. Any help would be appreciated.
