First off I read the FAQ so here are my questions

1:I cannot access the BIOS but the Iopener works fine. I understand that the Sandisk is set as the secondary boot device so if I simply add a HDD will the HDD boot first? and are there any other reasons that I would need to access the bios.

2:Will a Linksys USB network device work with the device if I am running windows 98/ME ? and if not, will an external powered USB hub fix this problem?

3:I have a 1 Gig HDD and a low profile HSF so is the I-MOD2 all I need to get this puppy running?

I have a DELL laptop that I am going to use to format and copy files from the winME disk to the HDD then I want to do the installation from the I-opener itself as to alleviate any other drivers that may load with the DELL I can also copy any other files over at that time for all the updated device drivers (video, busmastering, Network adapter "if it works".

Either reply here or email me at ripdotcom@yahoo.com

Thanks.

1. Depends, if your i-opener was used with the netpliance service, it will require a new bios. If it is a V1 or V2 and hasn't phoned home then just get or make the 44 pin ide cable and you are "good to go".

2. I don't know, I don't fool with that stuff.

3. What is the thinkness of the hard drive. Max is 12.5 or so cm.

4. That's the method that I used to get the i-opener up and running. Make sure you have a bootable copy of dos on your drive before you put it on the i-opener. Then attach it to the i-opener, power up, boot up, when in dos change to the directory you have stored the winX files and use the command ( setup /is ) to avoid the blue screen of death. There should be no problems after that. Good luck.
