Hello Just a question.
Have any of you (or know someone who has) taken an I Opener and gotten itconnected to wireless Internet via a PCMCIA Modem Card? I know there are No PCMCIA Slots on the unit but is there some type of adapter that can go from PCMCIA to???…..

Please let me know, as this I believe will take the I Opener to a newlevel. MP3,GPS, and now Wireless Internet

Hmmm, I just found a similar Wireless PC card recently...
http://www.novatelwireless.com/pcproducts/merlin.html

To bad I don't have the Usb to PCMCIA adapters...

The Wireless card works fine. I get good signals throughout my area using my notebook. (I tested it by using a random IP# and DNS Just for BRIEF RF connectivity testing purposes only to see if modem worked! Did not attempt to log on to the network!)

I guess Novatel is now run by GOAMERICA.
Monthly service is a little spendy!

Rant ON

DoubleA (aka Aaron&Judy),

Cross-posting these questions around the board will not get you faster answers, just faster flames. AND FOLLOWING UP WITH ANOTHER MESSAGE ON THE SAME THREAD IN CAPITAL LETTERS (MIS-SPELLING EXACTLY) WON'T GET YOU ANSWERS FASTER. You've also posted the same iOpener question in the 'audreycoop' newsgroup on Yahoo, asking info from folks who have no interest whatsoever in your quest.

For someone who was looking to swap an Audrey for an iO just a day ago, you're moving awfully fast. Have you got one yet, or just trolling?....
