Click the search button up top, enter the search words RED HAT 7.1 display, select Match All Words and forums I-Opener General Posts and I-Opener Technical Stuff then hit the SEARCH button. You'll find the topic redhat 7.1 tips. Look in there for the information I posted about changes to the file XF86Config-4. You'll probably want to read the entire thread for information about the SanDisk locking up the system and how to disable it with noprobe
RE:Need help configuring Redhat 7.1 (modified 0 times)
Thanx, but have already read all the past post. From what everything I've read there has not been a way to get past using XFree86 4.0.3. Some have setup the HD using specific computer that have somehow bypassed this issue but seems like most are running the older XFree86 3.3x.
The ShadowFB option does not seem to work for me or other people that I have talked to on other Boards. There is a issue submitted to Redhat (don't know the number) and we might get an answer to resolve this, but thought that I might ask here too.
Just in case you ask yes I have tried everything from this BBS to no avail.
