Hey everybody,
I got a strange one for ya. In light of Geogies disk speedup code,
I planned to put the fastest notebook drive I have in my iO, and leave the
largest ( about 15% slower than the fastest...) in my laptop.

I was ready to reassemble my iO, for now, and start installing the OS, but after the
keybaord was connected, the drive ( a HItake DK229A-10 (10GB 12.5mm drive that has run to 7MB/s in my laptop under Win2K according to sandra...) disappeared. I thought maybe something had gone wrong with the board, but my other drives ( IBM Travelstar 12.5mm 10GB, and a Fujitsu 9mm 12GB) work fine.

How's that for weird? I'm going to see if stepping up to V5 makes any difference.
The travelstars are quiet, but are 50% slower than the fujitsu, in my laptop.

Mebbe they'll fare better in the iO after the bios update.
