MY MOTHER BOUGHT AN I-OPENER FROM HSN.SHE GOT AN E-MAIL FROM ATT WORLDNET SAYING SERVICE WILL BE STOPPED DEC. 31.SHOULD I HACK IT OR TRASH IT? SHE REALLY LIKES IT.WHAT ARE THE BASIC STEPS TO GET E-MAIL & INTERNET FOR IT.PLEASE HELP! THANKS.

Try Earthlink. They supposedly support the I-opener. Earthlink is the ISP that Netpliance passed on the I-opener accounts to.

Yes EarthLink will work. I am using it now (not this second). All you have to do is go to the help then preferences section on your IO and enter your Earthlink user name and password and a local access # and BOOM! your on. You do know that a lot of websites wont work with it though. Any that require SSL or other recent security measures. Also flash and other plugin dependant pages. It's still pretty cool. But... if you want my answer. HACK IT!

Earthlink said they won't accept any new i-opener accounts. I guess i will have to hack it, unless someone has a better idea. It will have to be as simple to use as before or she will never go for it. I want to hack it, looks like fun! Thanks for the replies.
