This might be a question that I have to go elsewhere to get answered. But I am sure there are some of you that know how I can get this information.
This is what I would like to do. After getting the informtion from my customer I would like to make sure they are who they claim to be. In other words I would like to verify that the first name, last name, phone, address, state, and country is correct. In other words do a people search to make sure that is the real address. This has to be done for International people in all countries. I can look at white pages (phone book) to make sure the name, address and phone matches the order form. But the thing is that if it is unlisted it will not show up or if they are in another country. I need to find information about people to make sure the address they gave are correct and that is where they live. I run a business and this information is used for security reason only.
I get the ip address logged with the order form and look up that information to make sure they are in the correct area. In other words if they say they are in Canada but the isp is in china that does not add up.
Is there software out there that does verifaction of addresses. Doing a postal search would be good enough.
