| geez i sure hope SOMEONE can help me... i'm about to hack my iop and i just wanted to know if anyone could tell me how i could install a windows OS OTHER than 98...right now i'm using xp on my desktop but thats after i ugraded from ME (came already installed from dell). dell sent me the xp OS disk so i dont know if it makes a difference whether or not i bought it form the store if i can use it to install xp on my 2.5" HD. i still have the reinstallation cd for ME that dell gave me but it says that its not for the reinstallation of programs or drivers and i also still have the xp cd they gave me but i pretty much looked through each cd and didnt find anything like "WinME" or "WinXP". by the way, my xp cd gives me the option to install but id have to copy the file first, right? and also, if its an upgrade, will xp install if there was no prior version on windows on the hard drive? man, i hope i dont have to buy a new copy...if anyone can help me, id really appreciate it. just reply or email---thomasfabbio@aol.com | |
