If you want a method to turn off your IO LCD backlight via a hotkey or shortcut then download Power Control Screen Saver for free at: http://smsoft.chat.ru/en/powercontrol.htm

Setup the screen saver like you would any other but don't select it. Now find PowerControl.scr in your /windows/system folder and creat a shorcut on your desktop. Now assign your shorcut hotkey and your finished.

This is great for car mp3 player x10 mouse remote users because now you can assign a button to turn off the LCD Backlight.
