| Sorry if this is redundant, but i looked for a basic thread on this and couldn't find one, although I found lots on hard drives.
I replaced my bios chip with one from badflash (thanks, by the way) and everything comes up fine with the newest version. I have a laptop hard drive that I know functions in a couple of different pcs using an adapter. I cannot, however, make it detect on the i-opener. I've even keyed in cylinder info, and nothing appears to work. The swapped ide cable i'm using is older (since i got all pieces about a year ago and am just getting around to modding it) and it's the only part I can think of that may be causing a problem. Am I missing something? If the drive is in slave mode, nothing detects. If it's in master or cable select mode, the sandisk detects. The drive is set to active, and has win 98 cab files on it. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for your input. | |
