JAE to 50pin 2mm IDE (For CDROM)
Interesting find!

I was taking apart a Micro solutions external PC Card thin CDR drive and noticed there is a 50 pin IDE to JAE connector removable adapter/interface board between the drive and motherboard.

If one needs one of these JAE interface boards they might try and contact Micro solutions and see if they will sell it as a stand alone replacement part?

External CDR Drive model 185100.
The mainboard PN# BRD-180-7

The actual JAE to 50 pin Adapter board PN# BRD-186-1

Note: There is NO mounting holes for screws to fasten to the back of the CD Drive. It's a friction fit type board. (DON'T DRILL HOLES EITHER!) Traces in the way.

BTW, The actual 4x4x24 Black CDR drive by it's self fits perfectly inside my Toshiba notebook and works fine! Little slow but works nice!

I'm not complaining, They all were free! Fished out on one of my "D"-diving "treasure hunting" adventures.

This discriptions sounds a little confusing. Is it a 44 pin IDE to a 50 pin JAE? or a 50 pin IDE to a 50 pin JAE?
