Sorry for the offtopic post.. just trying to get my lab set up as quickly as possible, and the biggest barrier is finding decent computer/electronic hardware shops to buy cables, dongles, and other hobby necessities. (Please don't tell me that Circuit City is the place to go.. blecch!)

yes there is a computer surplus outlet near the mcarran airport on 3065 e. patrick lane it on same route to the airport entrance but turn left at the stop intercection before the tunnel,
their website is http://www.computersurplusoutlet.com/ i drove there and it's behind two buildings

Vegas is a wasteland in more ways than one.....

CSO listed above is good, Computer Rennisance is lame, but sometimes they have stuff. I have heard rumors of a
FRY'S ELECTRONICS opening here, but you know how rumors are. I buy most stuff from eBay, or the net...

Computer Rennisance sucks big time cause items are overpriced and sigh! a 30 inich tv/monitor selling for frigging 4 grand!
and parts selections is smaller ,but ive found tons of stuff in southern la area when i drove from las vegas to fountian valley,ca there's 2 of them ,one is on e.edinger rd east of s harbor blvd about one driveway entrance from a railroad crossing on the right and one is called software city ithink and it's on s harbor blvd at talbert/mcauthor rd corner
thats the one i got the 44pin ide slim cd drive for cool 40 bucks and bought 3 laptops for 20.00 each they told me it all dead and i laugh and left with those laptops and opened up and removed 2 square chips off plcc socket and reseated them and behold it came alive!
they were ultra brand p-90 with 16mb dtstn lcd screen whoo!
so long they're big sucker

there is also sandys on main st. kinda crappy but its all we got..
