I don't want credit. I want computerized Telemarketers out of business!
Also I can't understand how the Telezapper manufacturers can sleep at night,
selling their product for $49.99.

Anybody try this Yet ? Guess I got to Find My Answering Machine.

SF:
there was an article in 'Poptronics' magazine about a couple of years ago about the SIT tones.

if you notice, the tones are the same as what you hear when you call a telephone number that is no longer in service.

i have been using them on my answering machine since the magazine article came out.

it took about two weeks for all my usual pests to quit bugging me.

they are the cheepest, surest way to eat dinner in peace.

*SF*: Thanks for the link!

I've swiched my phone system to one of these. I've almost eliminated telemarketing calls. I still get automated messages about twice a month. The tones should eliminate these.

I'm happy that I've finally have a phone system where I can answer my phone and have almost zero chance that it is a telemarketer. The silence is well worth $70.

Electronics run on smoke, if you let the smoke out they won't work

I put those tones on my answering machine some months ago, and those funny fone calls have virtually dried-up. Now, what to do with that $50 gizmo I bought at the same time & never hooked up!!!
