I just got my V5 IO with badflash bios and a 6g hdd connected via a modded cable. Now when I boot up I get nothing at all. The CPU gets warm.. but no screen at all. If I swap the original bios back in then it boots back to the normal IO screens.

Can anyone help?

Sounds like the BIOS chip isn't making good enough contact with the socket. Bend the pins of the badflash bios outward slightly and then push it *almost* all the way down into the socket.

Since Posting I have scanned through hundreds of back posts and found some more info:

I have tried putting a normal ps2 keyb on it and pressing ctrl-alt-esc
I have tried putting the ps2 keyb through a splitter on both the mouse and keyb plugs
I have tried ctrl home on the original keyb
I tried bending the pins out (Thanx Perplexer)

But Still no joy.. just a blank screen.

Any more ideas anyone? Anything I have missed?

Thanks

I agree with Perplexer... concentrate on the bios... I used a coin I think, on top, so I Couldn't push the bios too deep..only Flat, with the top of the socket...
Don't change a Bunch of stuff at once... IF it works, with the old bios... ONLY change that... also, be sure to orient the chip correctly...
Good Luck!

Thanks but I can deffinatelty eliminate the bios 'fitting' this is fine.

I have been sent another V5 board by a friend. This board allready has the SanDisk Disabled. But I cannot get into the bios on this one either.

I have tried all of the above but still can not access the bios on either the original bios or the badflash bios.

ITs driving me mad at the moment.. anyone got any more ideas??

Thanks

Email BADFLASH.
I think He will want you to send the BIOS Chip back to be ReTested.
