inexperienced user in need of help
i-opener's compatability with printers

I apologize for what I'm sure is an elementary question to others who participate in this forum. However , I could not find information I need when I searched. Until recently , I've had a "Canon BJC-2100" printer hooked-up to my i-opener (I was told that was the ONLY printer that would work with the i-opener). Now , my printer is no longer working and the "Canon BJC-2100" printer is no longer available. Could anyone tell me if there is any other printer that would work with my i-opener (I have been unsuccessful trying to print on my "HP OfficeJet K60") ? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

For an unhacked IOpener, the Canon BJC-2100 may be the only supported printer (can't tell you for certain).
An IOpener which has been "hacked" to run from a hard drive, can print to pretty much any printer, whether using parallel or USB.
An Epson Stylus 740 USB printer works fine for me.

Jayco,
If you are using the stock iopener programming, the canon bjc 2010,2100,2110, and 2115 are known to work. If you need one of these they are available on ebay for almost nothing. That's about it, though. If you have hacked your iopener and are running any flavor of micro$oft or linux you can use any printer that you can find and load the drivers for.

If the problem is a clogged printer head, try the "soak the printer head with Windex" remedy.
