Hello,

I am a long beach state industrial design student whom is going to design a new housing for the back of the iopener. If enough intrest is shown, i will make a small production injection mold run, or casting. I would like to know from you as a community(if there is still one out there), some information to influence the design process. I would like to know what you think the new housing should: include room for, how much it should cost, where things should be placed, and what you would like it to look like. I have already designed a simple 3d drafting of the back housing for any one to sketch on, and email back to me.I can post the best ones on the web for everyone to judge. I work for furniture design firm in pasadena, ca so i have exp with design drawing. Any simple sketch you give to me, i can turn into product design drawing.

Anyone interested post your email and i will email you a jpg of the outside of the back housing, so you can make up a cool new design or sketch something, and the inside of it to show how you think the new components should be placed.

Anything else i forgot to think of let me know. parasyght@hotmail.com
P.S. I used to be just "parasyght", ive been posting here since 1999 :)

I would like the back to be thin. Almost like a LCD. But for drives and other electronics to be in the bottom.

Add just enough thickness to be able to slip a thin laptop CD in the side.
