midori linux has trouble with my USB devices.

I have several iopeners, and am trying to put midori on them. Actually midori loads fine, but I can't get networking to function.

I've tried:
EZ-Net Pro
USB pegasus device,
ADMtek Vendor 0x07a6 Prod 0x0986
seen, but no packets sending

Hawking 10/100
USB pegasus device,
USBs 0x0e66 0x400c
same problems

SMC 2208USB
USB rtl8150 device
not even recognized, but then
2.4.6 does hae a driver for rtl8150

Which gets to a bigger point. Midori is a
nuisance to change. The kernel configuration is changed for the Redhat version of gcc and won't conpile on SUSE.

So my quesitons are:
1. Is there an easy way to use newer kernels?
2. Can someone create a rtl8150 module for me?
3. Am I missing something in the networking setup? I module parameter?

Thanks

Have you had any luck as of yet? I have compiled and created a new image with the rtl8150 driver for the SMC 2208 USB ethernet port. Post a reply to this thread and I will setup the image on the web if anyone wants it. It is based on the m4i-1.1.2. This is the one from Bob Dougherty at http://m4i.homeip.net If anyone else needs a driver compiled reply to this.

I second the recommendation for the m4i distro - I've been using it for months with a linksys etherfast usb adapter (pegasus driver). I've customized a m4i build to use my IO as an in-car MP3 player - contact me if interested...

I've also got Midori working and am having networking problems - I have a LinkSys USB100M on an IOv5 and IOv3, using the v540a BIOS and the Midori image at http://m4i.homeip.net. I don't know squat about building these images, so some basic help would really be appreciated (like how can I tell if the IO can see my NIC, etc?). Also, this is my first post so if I break protocol somehow let me know.
