Ok, i have just discovered iopeners and got one, ive done a hard drive mod and stuck a goldenorb in it with no problems, i want to do a proc mod. I have read in tis forum lots of information, sometimes conflicting, about doing it.

I have a version 1 iOp,

For the short term, if i drop in a p200 non mmx chip straight in will it work?

i dug up an amd k62 366afr from the bottom of my bits box, i'd like to crowbar it in. the HSF should handle it ok, but there are some concers about power consumption andmany variations on how to do this mod. Hotgluing a preset pot to the board is my most likely method. What i need to know is will the processor draw too much power for the on board components apart from the straight resistors to provide voltage? what in your honest opinion is the best way to do the voltage mod?

Anyway, i plan to document and place on the web all mods as a resource for others, i hope you can assist an iOp noob :)
