| OK, I just wanted to double-check here, since the information I've been reading seems about split 50/50 on this =P I have a V5 I-Opener (pretty sure it is, anyway...266MHz chip, AD sound chip, no goo on the bios, boots with a dark screen that says "I-Opener"); is it absolutely necessary to get a new bios (like from Badflash for example) to do much of anything with it? Some things I've read say that you can't access the BIOS or get to a root shell with the stock BIOS -- the BIOS access part seems right, but I'm not totally sure if I'm doing the "Drop to a root shell" bit correct, so I haven't given up all hope yet =) Anyway...yeah...so do I have to get a new BIOS? Thanks so much ^_^ | |
