I broke my I-opener stand, does anyone out there have a spare or know of a way to support the screen other than the stand? I've been trying to find one for 3 weeks now and have been totally unsuccessful.

I threw the stand out years ago. I bought an inexpensive book stand, the
kind you use to prop up books while reading them. It holds the I-Opener and,
because it is made of a few thin steel wires, it folds flat. That means I can
also put the I-Opener in a laptop bag and take it anywhere.

I have an extra stand that I bought a couple of years ago with some idea of modifying it in machine shop. Never got around to it.

I'll send it to you for postage, but it would be great if you were interested in a trade. I am looking for any extra i-opener mod bits such as a nice crossover cable (mine works but looks chewed up), SMT components for most of the hacks. Also, I think I have an extra 128MB SODIMM, PS-2 Y-cable for the keyboard/mouse, and for some reason I have four MAX205ECPG and two MAX235CPG chips lying around as well. I got the i-opener booting Windows about two years ago, but it's been sitting collecting dust since then, for want of parts. Wanted to add USB, audio, and GPS but didn't manage to collect all the parts I needed.

Sorry if this now belongs in Swap Meet.

I would love to have that stand. Unfortunately I don't have any extra I-opener mods, you can contact me at nospam at hansonclan dot net.

OK, it will take me a few days to dig the stand out of my heap of junk and figure out the cost of shipping. Will email you with my paypal address when it is ready to go out. Good, one less item cluttering up the home. BTW, I'm not sure if I still have the screws for the stand, but hopefully you don't need them or can find replacements.

If you live in or near Seattle I will give one to you. You have to come and get it.
I have one sitting in the GREAT PILE...I'm NOT interested in shipping it though.
