Help PLEASE! LCD issue.... (modified 0 times) NetFryer Profile | Email Okay... in an effort to end the nagging from my girlfriend to "clean the desk off" i hurried up and assembled my iopener... it worked beautifully before the reassembly... now... the top 1/2 of the lcd has vertical lines through everything... thinking there was pressure on a connector or something... i removed the board / lcd from the case as i had it running before, and it still has the lines through the top 1/2 of the screen. THEN... i accidently touched some 3 solder point jobber near the lcd invertor... got the bajesus shocked outta my pinky which cooked 3 small dots on my skin like a hot dog (kinda cool) anywho... anyone know what the issue may be with my lcd? is it the MoBo... or the LCD itself? thanks! netfryer@Yahoo.com 01-09-2005 22:50:17

RE:Help PLEASE! LCD issue.... (modified 0 times) *SF* Profile It might be as Simple as the connectors for the LCD Cable ? You don't mention them. I am not talking about the few Heavy wires that are the High Voltage for the Backlight You do mention ! I would unplug & replug them, But You? could cause more Damage than Good, If You aren't Gentle & use a Bright light to Inspect these ends. other thing is You could have twisted your Display ?
