Okay... in an effort to end the nagging from my girlfriend to "clean the desk off" i hurried up and assembled my iopener...

it worked beautifully before the reassembly...

now... the top 1/2 of the lcd has vertical lines through everything... thinking there was pressure on a connector or something... i removed the board / lcd from the case as i had it running before, and it still has the lines through the top 1/2 of the screen.

THEN... i accidently touched some 3 solder point jobber near the lcd invertor... got the bajesus shocked outta my pinky which cooked 3 small dots on my skin like a hot dog (kinda cool)

anywho... anyone know what the issue may be with my lcd? is it the MoBo... or the LCD itself?

thanks!

It might be as Simple as the connectors for the LCD Cable ? You don't mention them.
I am not talking about the few Heavy wires that are the High Voltage for the Backlight You do mention !

I would unplug & replug them, But You? could cause more Damage than Good,
If You aren't Gentle & use a Bright light to Inspect these ends.

other thing is You could have twisted your Display ?

Good Luck, *SF*
