i have 2 V5 Iopeners, ordered the ide cables bios flash and KB Y adapter from badflash and also ordered 2 tennmax lasagna fans, 128mb ram, 10gig hd. i have a p200mmx chip and im not sure that the fan is doing the job or somethin else is wrong, my temp is around 45-49c . could the p2 chip be bad??? also when windows 2000 boots up it hangs at the startup screen (this being after i ran the C:\I386\WINNT ... ) i then reboot and F8 to go to Safe Mode and setup fails to finish and gives me a product install error (no blue screen)am i not waiting long enough in Normal Mode??? I waited a very long time and finally just shut it down rebooted in Safe Mode.
i feel like i am almost there... should i ditch the W2K OS and install Linux? i have Mandrake 7.2 would that be easier to install and setup? Pleaz any help would be awesome thanks

I have the same problem and i dont know what it is
Windows 2k only boots sometimes and other times it gives you a blue screen saying that there are errors
it works fine in safe mode though
i installed win 98 and it works fine, something doesnt work with win 2k
i dont know what version of the iopener i have
i have 32 meg ram and a 3 gig hd

It's been reported that Win2K's installation problems are due to the limited current supplied to the IOpener. I'm guessing that Win2K and above activate more devices on startup, while Win98 and below do not.
Do you have the 0.012 Ohm resistor installed?

i finally got W2K running on my v5, i took my laptop hardrive out of my gateway solo, it had windows 95 on, i copied I386 on to it booted the iopener up in win 95 and made changes in the device manager. the file system is fat and i didnt think that W2K could run on the FAT file system, anyway i cant get the right audio drivers installed i see the volume controls in the sys tray and have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no luck. the hard drive is only 2gb and theres not much space left on it so i am going to take it out and copy everything on it to my desktop then transfer everything back to another hard drive that is a little bigger. cant believe its finally working now just need help on the audio and i hopefully wil be set thanks for the help
