Wireless handheld...What is this thing?

There really isn't a "general" posting area on here so I thought why not ask for peoples opinions here?
A few days ago I was searching ebay for hardware-related oddities when I noticed this auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=3834557438

Not knowing what it was I bid on it and kept searching. Now the auction ended and I won! But what the hell did I win?

It looks like the seller was lacking in descriptions, and my email so far is unanswered...But I can see it has an wireless (802.11*?) PCIMIA card, and according to the seller, a touchscreen. Looks like a it was some type of handheld or terminal used in the medical industry. It also appears to have some type of CCD in the center of the back.

So I did some googling but was unable to find much info. on this thing. Googling, "Data General" which is a U.K. company, yielded a few clues, but a wayback machine of the site http://www.dg.com gave me this link: http://web.archive.org/web/19980201011503/http://www.dg.com/index.html

Yielded nothing but a similar logo to the one that appears on the device. Anyone got any info?

Okay, did a bit more goggling and found some stuff out...

First:

The machine is called a Wiin-PAD and is probably running a 75 Mhz risc proccessor. Secondly, the screen is a DSTN (think I-Opener) and it has 32

shoot...Sorry!

32-72 mb of flash RAM. It aslo has a monchrome CCD camera with barcode scanner (could be cool) plus a handwriting recognition app. It also has a wireless connection, however it seems to be pre 802.11 since the card is a RangeLan2, which is an older free-air standard card.

I got most of this info from here:

Additionally, I found the press release here:
