Don't laugh: I've actually thought of a practical use for this. I have somewhere around 1500-2000 diskettes hanging around from the 80s and 90s that I want to get onto CD and out of the house. I figure I can set up the Webpal as a portable "bit vacuum" that I can run while I'm watching TV, or whatever, and wear out an "expendable" floppy drive, instead of the one in one of my PCs.
Or maybe use it for sneakernet data transport if I can't pull off doing Vit's mod to the Sohoware NIC
Bill's kernel has the driver configured out, but I thought someone else had succeeded/failed before I give it a shot.
