PCChips has the Note PC, which is a hybrid slimline/thin client computer. I was able to dig some more information on the unit from http://www.pcware.com/notepcframe1.htm
This is also on http://www.pcchips.com . Apparently this product has been tuned for running linux and even has 8MB of flash ROM for loading a lightweight kernel before booting the rest of the way off of the LAN! It's pre-hacked!
excerpt:
The NotePC has a built-in 8MB Flash ROM card that provides a minimum Linux OS solution for diskless applications. This enables access to the Internet and sending or viewing e-mail without a harddisk or CD-ROM drive in the system. You can also access software from a network and run it.
I haven't been able to find a sales web site for this product. anybody know of one?

It might not be out yet. I had been waiting months for it to become available for sale.
the Book PC came out months ago but the Note PC for some reason hasn't been.
