Last night, I got one easy as pie from the Monrovia, Ca store last night. 'Cept they had to hunt for it. Where I live, Burbank, said they were awaiting a shipment of 13. I got it home, doesn't quite boot yet, but I like it.
Went out to buy 5 more this evening. Went to Burbank 1st. Still awaiting shipment. Went to Monrovia, where there were at least 5 last night. After politely encourageing the zitty dumb little girl who worked there to get her lazy butt back in the back to keep looking for the four that the computer said were back there, another more helpful guy came out. He couldn't find them either, talked to Mgr. and then explained to me that they were told to ship them back, some sort of discontinuance. "What are you gonna do with 5 of them?" "Put all my computer illiterate relatives on email." "Ha Ha, funny!" he said for some reason. (BS, ebay, I'll admit it.) Same deal at the Industry store, 'cept the guys there already knew exactly what a websurfer was."Ahhh, your gonna hack it, huh?" Manager was cool and said that the order came thru their system at midnight last night, and he later got a phone call from his superiors saying he dare not sell any, and to send the rest back. I gather that they had many of them.

I'll see what pans out in Burbank when that "shipment" arrives. Well, within a short period of a /. article, another company is losing a $h1tl0@d of money! Perhaps they are determined to go a different way then the iopener folks?

Also when some if these idiots go running into COMpUSA and chit-chatting with the salesperson or manager about their brilliant plans for their WSP, they #### it up for the rest of us.

Are you referring to the ebay idiots or the idiots who tell store employees about what you can do with them? When I got mine, the sales person wanted to know why they were so cheap. I quickly chimed in that the product was discontinued.

"Also when some if these idiots..." Are you referring to me, you illiterate, rosy palmed, attention-defecit pimple squeezer? Lay off the ritalin and the sugar cheesy poofs and c-a-r-e-f-u-l-l-y re-read my post. Remember what the product was initially intended to be used for, hmmm? F@&# it up for you? No, I'd just buy all of them if I could before mommy drove you to crap usa. The real idiots are those who willing pay so much for one off ebay. Why shouldn't we take their money if we can? We give them what they wan't, they give big $ for the product, that's capitalism. Supply and demand. Don't like it, move to Cuba, China, North Korea, or Viet Nam, etc. Get the picture, commie?

Sorry to use such big words,
-j
