Manufacture Recall

New MessageManufacture Recall (modified 0 times) howgay
Well this is gay, I just called the 2 CompUSA in my local area, 1 said they are sold out, the other said the manufacture recalled all the units. Anyone else got the same response from CompUSA? I don't know how accurate the information is, I am hoping the person who answered the phone was a clueless chick. If it's true, then the manufacturer must be monitoring this board? Well they can choke on my testicles if they are reading this.

I bet they recalled them so that they can put ide headers on the motherboard and make it easier for us poor hackers without the soldering skillz :)

kickass! I can't wait to get the new v2 websurfer with built in ide header! I also hear that they are adding 32 more megs of ram to make it easier to run alternative os's on the websurfer.

Actually the corperate memo read differently...

It mentioned upgrading the L2 cache to 1 meg, adding 128 meg Dimms changing the processor to 1.1gig Athalons, and adding 20 gig Scsi III Ultra wide hard drive inside.
Then sell it for $59.00 for the happy hackers...

DUH, you idiots.

well, I just installed a 10021 gig hard drive in my wsp and compusa came to my house to tell me that there was a recall, then continued to bust down my door and take my wsp. Those bastards, Im upset cuz I changed the chipset to intel and had a pentium III 733 in it. I was beta testing the HD for maxtor and I don't know what I'm gonna tell them what happend to it. I had windows 2001 whistler on it too! I'm seeking legal action against compusa and talking out my ass.
